Bacup Film Festival 2007
was held at the Millennium Theatre
on the 26th and 27th October 2007


Although in its pilot year, the festival was a great success, with MP for
Rossendale and Darwen, and former Film Minister Janet Anderson giving
the festival very high acclaim.

The diversity in films that were screened at the Bacup Film Festival 2007
illustrated the festival’s aim to bring such a vast range of talent, from
all ages and abilities, to the public eye.

Grand Prize:
Salsa Guy: Directed by Gus Alvarez

Best Fiction:
Waste: Directed by Richard Wilson

Best Documentary:
New Tricks: Directed by Simon Clayton

Best Animation:
What If?: Directed by Mat Parker

Young Film Maker Award:
Wayward Escape:

Sophie Award for Innovation in Film Making:
A Self Critical Sinner’s Murder: Directed by Mercy Liao
